The project European Meeting of Company Sport (EMoCS) intends to contribute to the European effort to further raise awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity throughout increased participation in, and equal access to, sport for all, especially at the workplace.
EUROPEAN FEDERATION FOR COMPANY SPORT
The European Federation for Company Sport (EFCS) is a voluntary nonprofit organisation based in Paris and gathering national company sport
federations from 39 different countries (41 federations) of which 22
EU member states . The EFCS’s main objective is to promote and develop
sport practice in the professional environment all across Europe.
ASSOSPORT
Assosport is the Italian Association of Sporting Goods Industry. It
represents and supports, both in Italy and worldwide, the sports
clothing-, shoe-, and equipment- manufacturing and trading Italian
companies that, together, make up one of the most competitive assets
of the Italian economy. Established in 1958, Assosport represents more
than 300 brands.
FESI
the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry
represents the interests of approximately 2,400 sporting goods
manufacturers in Europe (90% of the European market) through its 11
National Sporting Goods Industry Federations and its directly affiliated
member companies. 75% of FESI’s membership is made up of Small
and Medium Sized Enterprises. In total, the European Sporting Goods
Industry employs over 650,000 EU citizens and has an annual turnover
in Europe of 81 billion euro.
FFSE
The French Federation for Company Sport (FFSE) brings together more
than 2,000 structures which work on the development of sport for
all within a community of work. It promotes the physical exercise and
grassroots sport practice as a user-friendly way to improve health and
well-being, as well as to strengthen social links and productivity within
a company
IBV
The IBV is a technological centre aiming to improve quality of life,
as well as competitiveness among businesses, by generating and
transferring knowledge related to health and well-being technologies.
IBV studies the behavior of the human body and its interaction with
products, environments and services.
The mission of the Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) is to promote and
undertake scientific research, technological development, technical
assessment and training in the area of Biomechanics. Its goal is to
develop scientific and technological activities in Biomechanics and
related fields of knowledge for their social and economic use.
The IBV provides high-value services and products in the fields of
healthcare (diseases and capacities), well-being and quality of life
(prevention and safety, comfort and satisfaction, performance, leisure,
etc.) in order to favour profitability and differentiation among its
clients, while contributing to an improvement of the environment and
the society
LIIKU
LiikU is an expert in physical education in Southwest Finland. They get children and adults moving at sporting events and sport camps. They educate people who work with children, club operators and workplaces to get others moving and help them to develop their activities to be more effective. They advocate exercise to policy-makers with a baseline “exercise is a way of life!”
OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF SLOVENIA
The Olympic Committee of Slovenia–Association of Sports Federations
is an umbrella non-governmental sport organization in Slovenia. Its
mission is to create better country trough sport and the Olympic
movement. It is based on the understanding that sport is an important
element of quality life in all its forms and environments and, as such, it
is suitable for people of all ages.
SPORT AND CITIZENSHIP
Sport and Citizenship is a European think tank dedicated to the analysis
of sporting politics and the study of sport’s societal impact. Founded in
2007, a few weeks after the adoption of the European Commission’s
White Paper on sport, Sport and Citizenship adopts a multidisciplinary
and transversal approach to get involved in the national and European
decision-making process as regards policies on sport, education,
public health, citizenship, social cohesion, economic and sustainable
development
